01Service

The questions your contact centre answers all day.

Balance, cover, next premium, policy documents, beneficiary changes. Answered instantly from your systems, verified before anything sensitive is shown, and handed to an agent when the bot should step aside.

Self-service

Verified in the thread, answered from your policy admin system. Documents delivered as PDFs, not “please call us during office hours”.

Human handover

Full context handed to the agent: identity verified, history in view, nothing repeated. Agents work from a shared inbox or your existing contact-centre tools.

02Claims

First notice of loss, without the form.

Claims start in the chat: what happened, when, photos, documents. Structured data lands in your claims system, and the customer gets status updates without having to ask.

Claims intake

Guided intake with photos and documents, structured straight into your claims system. Fewer incomplete claims, faster assessment.

Status updates

Every stage change pushed to the customer as it happens, with the next action in the message: pay the excess, confirm the repairer, upload the last document.

03Money

Premiums collected, arrears recovered, gently.

Failed debit orders, missed instalments and lapsing policies get a reminder and a pay link on the day, not a letter three weeks later.

Collections

Same-day recovery by card or instant EFT, and the option to fix the root cause. Lapse rates come down when the ask arrives on time and in the right place.

Onboarding & KYC

FICA and KYC documents collected in the chat, checked against your rules and passed to your systems. Sign-ups that finish instead of abandoning at the form.

No call queue. No forms.
No “please hold”. Just WhatsApp.

Every conversation verified, logged and yours.

Built for regulated businesses

Compliance is part of the build, not an afterthought.

Your compliance and IT teams are in the room from the first workshop, and the platform is configured to your policies.

Built for POPIA

Keychat acts as operator for your customer data. Consent, retention and access are configured to your policy, with data hosted in South Africa or the EU as you require.

Verified before anything sensitive

One-time PIN and identity checks in the thread before balances, documents or personal details are shown, with step-up verification for higher-risk actions.

Every message on record

Full conversation logs and an audit trail for your compliance team, exportable to your systems of record. Runs on the official WhatsApp Business Platform.

Frequently asked questions

Everything else you might want to know before the first workshop.

Ask us on WhatsApp
How does it connect to our policy admin or core banking system?

Over your APIs. Keychat sits between WhatsApp and your systems: it reads what it needs to answer, writes what it needs to record, and stores nothing your data policy doesn’t allow. Older systems without APIs are handled with a secure integration layer we build.

How is the customer verified?

Identity is confirmed in the thread before anything sensitive is shown: a one-time PIN to the registered number, plus knowledge checks or step-up verification for higher-risk actions, configured to your risk rules.

Is it POPIA compliant?

Keychat operates as an operator under POPIA for your customer data. Consent capture, retention and access are configured to your policy, with data hosted in South Africa or the EU. We work through the sign-off with your compliance team.

Can our agents take over a conversation?

Yes. Handover to a person is built in, with the full context passed along. Agents work from a shared inbox or from your existing contact-centre tooling through integration.

Does this work for brokers and UMAs as well as insurers?

Yes. Each broker or scheme can run its own WhatsApp number on top of a shared integration, with its own branding, rules and reporting.

How long does it take to go live?

A first journey, typically claim status or premium collection, is usually live within weeks, piloted with a segment of customers and then extended. The integration work sets the pace, and we run it with your IT team.

What does it cost?

Finance builds are scoped to your journeys and volumes. Book a call and you’ll get a fixed proposal back, not a rate card.
